Telling Tales on Politicians

Peter C. Newman tells stories and share his insights about how he captures the essence of a politician on the page.

In ancient India, storytellers moved from village to village, to entertain by firelight and perpetuate the myths of their country. “They carried iron rice bowls in their knapsacks, and if their told good stories they’d be allowed to eat that night,” says Peter C. Newman. “I feel just as compelled to maintain people’s attention. My job is to tell a good story, so the village fills up my bowl.” Newman has sold over 2 millions books chronicling Canada’s most ambitious politicians.

Peter C. Newman is a journalist and author.
