Crystal Hurdle

Crystal Hurdle is a West Coast writer, teaching English and creative writing at Capilano University in North Vancouver, British Columbia. She is the former fiction editor of The Capilano Review. Her work has been published in many Canadian journals and anthologies. She has published a poetry collection, After Ted & Sylvia: Poems (Ronsdale Press, 2003) and a novel in verse, Teacher’s Pets (Tightrope Books, 2014). Work is forthcoming in Event, Canadian Literature, The Globe and Mail, and Transverse. She was recently at the Canadian Writers’ Summit in Toronto, listening to George Eliot Clarke, Catherine Bush and Jean Little. She is currently reading memoirs by Diane Schoemperlen and Roz Chast.
