Lisa McCreary grew up in Ontario, has lived in both Alberta and Quebec, and moved to Newfoundland in 2013 where she enrolled in creative writing courses at Memorial University. She is a former journalist, and a founding member of a writers’ group in Gatineau (Aylmer), Quebec. She became interested in poetry at the age of twelve, and she has written and collected poems ever since. She is currently reading Ken Babstock’s Days into Flatspin.
