Peter Dale Scott is a former Canadian diplomat and professor of English at the University of California, Berkeley. His poetry includes the trilogy Seculum: Coming to Jakarta (1988), Listening to the Candle (1992) and Minding the Darkness (2000), and also Murmur of the Stars (1994).
