Maya Tevet Dayan is an Israeli-Canadian poet and writer, based in Vancouver and born and raised in Israel. Poems from her critically acclaimed poetry collection have appeared in English and in Hebrew, been translated into English and Russian, have won prizes in Israel, and have appeared in various venues. Her second collection of poetry is forthcoming in Israel by the end of 2017 in the prestigious “Kvar” poetry series. She holds a PhD in Indian philosophy and literature and her translations of Sanskrit poetry have appeared in various venues in Israel, the United States and India. Recently she has been reading The Best Place on Earth by Ayelet Tsabari and Burn Lake by Carrie Fountain.
