Anna Yin is Mississauga’s inaugural poet laureate with six books of poetry, including Seven Nights with the Chinese Zodiac (Black Moss Press, 2015). She won the 2005 Ted Plantos Memorial Award, two MARTY Awards and the 2013 Professional Achievement Award from CPAC. Her poems have been featured in Arc Poetry, The New York Times, China Daily, CBC Radio, World Journal and Room. She has designed Poetry Alive workshops and teaches poetry in schools, libraries and colleges. Currently she is reading 99 Poems: New and Selected by Dana Gioia, Do Not Say We Have Nothing by Madeleine Thien, Coal and Roses by P.K. Page, The Trouble with Poetry by Billy Collins and The Best Canadian Poetry Series.
